Komsomolske, Ukraine. September 23th, 2014. Sergyi is a minor from Makievka. Few months ago he decided to join the Shaktiorsk batallion to "defend his country". 3 weeks ago, the ukrainian army were ambushed in the little town of Komsomolske. Some sources are saying that more than 150 ukrainians soldiers died.

Patriouka, Ukraine. May 8th 2014. The bedroom of the Baikovsai family. They live in the small village of Patriouka (185 inhabitants), located a few kilometers from the border with Transnistria.

Donetsk, Ukraine. October 4th, 2014. A pro-Russian commander using the name of ‘‘Givi’’ (right) and his unit, direct artillery fire on the airport in Donetsk from a high-rise building half a kilometer away. For more than a week, Pro-Russian fighters have been attacking Ukrainian forces in an effort to regain the control over the Donetsk airport.

Kramatorsk, Ukraine. May 4th, 2014. A young boy injured by mortar fire at the hospital of Kramatorsk, after fighting erupted between the Ukrainian army and pro-Russian.

Andriivka, Ukraine. May 4th, 2014. Pro-Russians decided to use a train as barricades and take positions in order to protect themselves from a possible attack by the Ukrainian army. 2 days earlier, clashes between the Ukrainian army, who had taken up positions in this small village, and pro-Russians, have caused several wounded and two dead on the Ukrainian side.

Karlivka, Ukraine. May 23rd, 2014. A car riddled with bullets in the village of Karlivka. At least six people were killed in a battle between the "Donbass Batallion", a pro-Ukrainian militia, and the "Vostok Battalion", a pro-Russian militia, in the village of Karlivka near Donetsk.

From a high-rise building half a kilometer away from the airport, a pro-Russian commander using the name of ‘‘Givi’’ and his unit, direct artillery fire on the airport in Donetsk. For more than a week, Pro-Russian fighters have been attacking Ukrainian forces in an effort to regain the control over the Donetsk airport.

Slaviansk, Ukraine. April 22nd, 2014. Mourners at the funeral of Sergei Tihanovitz, Pavel Pavlelko and Sigmus Sergeivitz. Several hundred mourners gathered for a funeral of the three pro-Russian civilians at a small cemetery near Slaviansk. They were killed on April 21, 2014 during a firefight close to a pro-Russian checkpoint in the village of Bilbasivka. The circumstances of the shooting were not clear. Pro-Russian forces said the extreme right group Pravy Sektor had led the attack.

Krasnoarmiysk, Ukraine. May 11th, 2014. In the early afternoon, armed men of Ukrainian affiliation prevented the referendum vote and occupied the administrative building of the small town of Krasnoarmiysk. A young man receives a blow from the butt in his face and collapses.

Pchelkino, Donbass, Ukraine. April 16th, 2014. The inhabitants of Pchelkino, a small town adjoining Kramatorsk, blocked 14 tanks of the Ukrainian army. After hours of negotiations, the Ukrainian soldiers were forced to demilitarize before finally regaining their position.

Vuhlehirs'k, Ukraine. February 15th, 2015. A fighter of the first Slavic Artillery Brigade on their artillery position, near the village of Vuhlehirs'k.

Rasipnoye, Ukraine. July 18th, 2014. The body of a passenger on flight MH17 landed in the guest room of the Tiponov family’s house. Igor Tipanov, the oldest son, discovered the body. At least 37 bodies were found in the small village of Rasipnoye, population 3,000 inhabitants, about 5 kilometers from the main area of the crash site.

In a building in front of the airport (500 meters) the pro-russian commander "Givi" (on the right) is directing the artillery fire with his unit. For more than a week, Pro-Russian fighters have been attacking Ukrainian forces in an effort to regain the control over the Donetsk airport.

Krondatievka, Ukraine. February 8th, 2014 Pro-Russian forces fire Grad rockets toward Ukrainian positions in Debaltseve from an undisclosed location near the small town of Krondatievka. After weeks of fighting with artillery and surrounding every day a little more the Ukrainian army, pro-Russian forces have recovered the town of Debaltsevo ,despite the Minsk agreement signed on February 15th, 2015.

Vuhlehirs'k, Ukraine. February 15th, 2015. A tanker of the first Slavic artillery brigade in his APC. The member of the first Slavic Artillery Brigade in the village of Vuhlehirs'k are preparing to leave and strengthen the different positions in the sector.

Logvinova, Ukraine. February 15th, 2015. The body of a Ukrainian soldier is lying in the village of Logvinova. This village, located on the road between Artemivsk and Debaltseve previously in the hands of Ukrainian forces was recovered by pro-Russian 4 days ago, after fierce fighting with artillery.

Yenakievo, Ukraine. February 7th, 2015. An abandoned artillery position near the town of Yanakievo.

Around Debaltseve, Ukraine. February 15th, 2015. Members of the first artillery brigade Slavic dig trenches on their new positions less than 2km from Debaltseve. After weeks of fighting with artillery and surrounding every day a little more the Ukrainian army, pro-Russian forces have recovered the town of Debaltseve ,despite the Minsk agreement signed on February 15th, 2015.

Vughligorsk, Ukraine. February 19th, 2015. A family leave the town of Debaltseve which have been under heavy and daily shelling since weeks as pro-russian forces are trying to take control of the city.

Lughansk, Ukraine. February 11th, 2015. A women take shelter to the local hospital in Lughansk. Previously, she had to live her home which had been damaged by shelling and was living in a church but she had to live the church, and has nowhere to go. After weeks of fighting with artillery and surrounding every day a little more the Ukrainian army, pro-Russian forces have recovered the town of Debaltsevo ,despite the Minsk agreement signed on February 15th, 2015.

Snizhne, Ukraine. July 16th, 2014. A dog is passing by some trace blood in front of a local hospital. While fighting with heavy artillery are raging in the town of Marinovka between pro-Russian and Ukrainian Army fighters, many wounded pro-Russian fighters were taken to the local hospital; About 20 minor injuries, 8 in a more serious states and 1 death will arrive in the morning.

Lugansk, Ukraine. Le 04/06/14. Funeraille d'Alexander Alexandrevitch, 50 ans, chef de l'organisation "Kakaz". Il a été tué devant le batiment administratif de Lugansk, lors d'une explosion, le 2 juin 2014, Alors que des combats entre l'armée ukrainienne et des pro-russes faisaient rage. Plusieurs civils ont été tués. Les circonstances et provenance du tirs demeurent flous. L'osce avait dans un premier temps confirmé qu'un bombardier Sukhoi 24 de l'armée ukrainienne avait bien visé le batiment administratif de Lugansk, avant de se retracter. Le gouvernement de Kiev quant à lui a démenti toute utilisation d'avions de combats contre des cibles non militaires.
